In the US state of South Carolina, the oldest dog officially recognized in this status on the planet died at the age of 22. It was a female toy fox terrier, her name was Pebbles.
The dog was born in the spring of 2000 on Long Island. At first, her future owners were going to get a large pet, but Pebbles charmed them. For 22 years, the lady got 32 puppies, their father was a male Rocky. The latter passed away when he was 16 years old.
According to the owners of Pebbles, she lived so long because she was always surrounded by love and attention. Since 2012, Pebbles has been fed cat food, so the animal began to consume more protein, and this also had a positive effect on her health.
Despite a balanced diet, sometimes Pebbles were pampered with various delicacies, for example, ribs.
Among the hobbies of the record holder, the hosts also especially note the love of summer walks and country music style.
