Dogs
Tucker is a 5-year-old neutered male yellow Labrador who is a steadfast companion. He is playful, strong and loves the water; he's a large dog who has a deep bark, making him a good watchdog and deterrent. Tucker's been raised in the country on a large property and has been able to run and access woods and water. He's never experienced the hustle and bustle of the city and needs an adopter who is in a rural area. He's not had a lot of experience with other dogs but his owners have never seen any aggression or inappropriate interactions. Tucker is housetrained and is not destructive when left alone. He is up-to-date with vaccines and is healthy.
However, his vet has put him on anti-inflammatory meds for his joints.
He is not a dog for a family with young children. He has become less tolerant of children and, whether it's due to joint pain or something else, we don't know and don't want to speculate. A recent incident involving a bite to a 9 year old boy has led the family to seek a home without children for Tucker.
His ideal home would be in a rural area with a large fenced-in yard or a country property, no young children, someone who is active and can keep him well-exercised and doesn't have another dog (he has never lived with another dog). He has no experience with cats.
